Excipients ad to ........................1ml Description Calcium borogluconate and magnesium hypophosphite are soluble salts of calcium and magnesium respectively and used extensively in fluid infusions for correction of metabolic disturbances. On parenteral administration they rapidly increase plasma concentrations of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. This is effective in the treatment of hypocalcaemia with associated magnesium and phosphorus deficiencies. Indications For the treatment of hypocalcaemia complicated by a deficiency of magnesium in cattle and sheep. Contra indications No contra-indications have been identified for Calma SH-250 or any of its constituents. Side effects Rapid intravenous injection may result in cardiac arrythmias and in severely toxaemic cows, collapse and death. Dosage Once administer via subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection. For subcutaneous injection: massage site gently after administration. Cattle : 400 - 800 ml
